I've included thumbnails of the majority of cover design that were left on the cutting room floor, with the larger images being a few of my favorites. If anyone was wondering what goes into a cover design when I work on it, these thumbnails help illustrate my process. I enjoy making variants and often find the best work comes out of playing this way. You can also see how heavily edited the subscription cover is — that's the one with Nairo wearing the baseball cap on the yellow-green background.

Fraser Bicycle : Bike Shop Van
Fraser Bicycle is a metro Detroit bike shop with four locations, including their original location in Fraser, Michigan. They now have a billboard on wheels to travel over our legendary Michigan pothole-filled roads. Design from Concept to Completion and used my "Give Bikes 5 Feet" illustration. Worked directly with bike shop owner and vinyl wrap vendor.
Full re-branding for the Derek Witham Insurance Agency, Inc. in Malden, Mass. Project included new logo, colors, brand fonts, responsive website on the Squarespace platform, and social media integration with Facebook, Google, and Yelp.

I was asked to create the lettering to convey the feel of the March 2015 issue of Hour Detroit honoring the Restaurant of the Year, Torino Ferndale. My Bold Brush Script was a perfect fit for their bold and unique food artistry.
It had been a goal of mine to create work for Hour Detroit for the past 20-years, so the opportunity to letter the feature spread and cover (a fold out, no less!) was a dream realized. It was a pleasure to work with Valerie Morgan, Hour's Creative Director, on this project. She was extremely responsive and organized throughout the fast turnaround and I can't thank her enough for this opportunity.

I was asked to create two headlines of two feature stories for the October 2015 issue of HOUR Detroit Magazine. It was great to team up with Valerie Morgan again; she helped push me into the direction seen in the final work. I've been described as messy with intent, and I think that really comes through with these pieces.
